In response to the Personal Information Protection Act, approved in October 2012, and the prioritization of information and communication security, we established the Information Security and Personal Information Protection Work Circle. This initiative was inspired by the recommendation of National Chung Hsing University’s Principal Li De Tsai. The work circle is comprised of the computing centers (information divisions) of four universities and includes distinguished members such as Professor Kuan Da Zi from National Sun Yat-sen University and Professor Yang Zhu Hsing from National Cheng Kung University. Together, we collaborate to promote and advance information security and personal information protection efforts.
This work circle leverages the unique strengths of the four universities. In addition to integrating expertise in information security and personal information protection, we provide the Taiwan Comprehensive University System with comprehensive resource sharing and enhanced information security protection. Our efforts focus on improving information security and monitoring services, thereby reducing the risk of personal information breaches across the four universities each year.
The “Information Security Work Circle” was renamed the “Information Work Circle,” reorganized, and expanded to include additional areas of information security. This change was approved during the Executive Commissioners Meeting of the Taiwan Comprehensive University System on December 6, 2023.
