Brief Introduction to the Library Work Circle

The Library Work Circle is committed to integrating and sharing library resources to support the teaching, research, and learning needs of the Taiwan Comprehensive University System (TCUS). The specific functions of this work circle are outlined as follows:
  1. 1. Collaborative Purchasing and Resource Sharing: Jointly purchase and establish institutional access to classic journals, and co-collect online resources.
  2. 2. Library Collection Services: Enhance the utilization of library resources by providing an integrated service platform based on collaborative purchasing and resource sharing.
  3. 3. Information Service Integration: Develop a digital learning network across the four universities' libraries, co-create digital information materials, co-promote journal resource services, and enhance personalized information services.
  4. 4. Library Information System Integration: Unify ID authentication systems so that TCUS teachers and students can use a single ID to access the libraries of all four universities. Collaborate on the development or introduction of new systems to achieve resource sharing and joint access.
  5. 5. Collaborative Talent Training and Educational Resource Sharing: Jointly plan and host educational training for library staff to enhance their knowledge and skills, thereby improving service quality.
  6. 6. Joint Development and Sharing of the "Turnitin Paper Originality Comparison System": Through the joint purchase of this system, the aim is to save public funds and strengthen the competitiveness of universities. The system promotes correct academic ethics, helps maintain university reputations, and reduces typographical errors and plagiarism trends. This initiative supports the protection of intellectual property rights on campus and enhances the originality and quality of academic paper.
